Custom POS connectors

Bring your trusted POS online — without replacing it.

Your POS may be old, highly customised, or simply perfect for the way your team works. We build the technical bridge to online reporting, accounting, and fiscal services while keeping the familiar till at the centre of daily operations.

The real migration problem

Replacing a POS is not just replacing software.

A working till becomes part of the business. Staff know every shortcut, printers and peripherals are already connected, reports feed established routines, and years of operational knowledge sit around the system. A forced replacement can cost far more than the licence.

People know the current workflow

Changing screens, buttons, and order flows means retraining every shift and accepting mistakes while the team adapts.

Old systems have hidden dependencies

Receipt printers, kitchen routing, cash drawers, exports, tax rules, and local conventions may depend on behaviour that is poorly documented.

Migration creates operational risk

Historical data, menu structures, employee access, and integrations all need to move without interrupting trading hours.

The connector approach

Keep the operational core. Connect what the business needs.

There is no universal legacy-POS connector. We inspect what the system actually exposes, select the least invasive reliable interface, and build a controlled data path around it.

Source

The POS you already run

  • Receipt printer output
  • Local files or database records
  • Vendor APIs or network interfaces
  • Existing exports and operational reports

Custom layer

Your connector

  • Capture without interrupting the till
  • Map proprietary fields into a stable model
  • Validate totals, taxes, and identifiers
  • Buffer safely when a destination is unavailable

Destination

Modern online services

  • printapos orders and reports
  • Accounting or ERP workflows
  • Fiscal and invoicing systems
  • Custom exports, APIs, or data feeds

What we can customise

A scoped integration, not a risky all-or-nothing migration.

The exact deliverables depend on your POS and target systems. A project can cover one connector or a complete path from receipt capture to validated downstream records.

Legacy and bespoke POS connectors

Connect a system that has no modern cloud integration by using the safest interface available: print stream, file, database, API, or network protocol.

Data mapping and receipt interpretation

Turn proprietary product, tax, payment, discount, and identifier formats into a documented data model that other systems can use.

Accounting and ERP integration

Prepare exports or direct connections for journals, sales summaries, invoices, taxes, payment reconciliation, and location mapping.

Fiscal and invoicing workflows

Connect the data needed by country-specific invoicing or fiscal processes, with responsibilities, validation, and audit requirements defined in the project scope.

Multi-location normalisation

Unify different venue identifiers, menus, tax labels, and exports so a group can report across several inherited systems.

Monitoring and operational support

Add delivery status, retries, data-quality checks, and clear diagnostics so integration failures are visible before they affect reporting.

How a project works

Start with evidence. Roll out with control.

We do not promise a connector before understanding the system. A short technical discovery establishes what is possible, what needs testing, and who owns each part of the integration.

Discovery

You show us the POS, sample data, peripherals, target systems, and the business outcome.

Feasibility

We inspect available interfaces and identify constraints, risks, security needs, and responsibilities.

Prototype

We prove the critical data path with real samples before committing to a full rollout.

Validation

Totals, taxes, identifiers, failure handling, and destination records are checked in parallel.

Rollout

The connector is introduced in stages with monitoring, documentation, and an agreed support path.

Common questions

What to expect before we begin.

Do we have to replace our current POS?

The purpose of this service is to keep it. First we confirm that a safe, stable connection is technically possible. If the system exposes too little information or the requested outcome would be unreliable, we will say so during discovery.

What access do you need?

Usually we start with sample receipts or exports, the POS and version name, a description of connected printers and systems, and access to a test environment if one exists. We agree any production access separately and keep it as narrow as possible.

Can the connector work if the internet goes down?

Where the source interface allows it, the connector can buffer data locally and deliver it later. The till's primary operation should not depend on the cloud connection; the exact failure behaviour is part of the technical design.

Can you integrate our accountant's or fiscal provider's system?

Potentially, yes. We need its API, accepted file format, or other technical interface, plus a clear definition of which system remains responsible for invoices and fiscal records.

Tell us about the system

Start with your POS, not a sales presentation.

Send us the name and version of your POS, what you want to connect, and the result you need. We will reply with the next useful technical questions.

  • POS name, version, and operating system
  • Available printer, export, database, or API access
  • Accounting, ERP, fiscal, or reporting destination
  • Number of locations and approximate daily volume

Enter your name.

Enter a valid email address.
